One of the biggest features of blogging that helps in Search Engine Optimization is the ability to tell search engines and other indexers around the world that our blog has new/updated content. That ability is ping, similar, but should not be confused with the network ping feature.

Bloggers using wordpress publishing platform has http://rpc.pingomatic.com as their ping service by default. However, for faster indexing, there is no harm in including more ping service. Below are the ping services that I use on my blogs.

To update ping services in WordPress, go to Settings -> Writing -> Update Services
