Update To SEO Contest
Now we are 11 days into the Evoire.com seo contest, and here is a special announcement regarding the contest, specially for participants that joined Evoire.com prior to August 7th.
Apparently there was some software glitch on the system that cause profile pages to be marked incorrectly during the search engines crawling. We have fixed the problem and notify Google about this, however it might take some time for the pages to be re-indexed.
Thus, we offer the participants that join on or before 7th August 2010 a choice to create another account as contest entry page.
Here are the rules. Please read carefully:
- Second account is allowed only for participants that join on or before 7th August 2010
- Eligible participants are allowed to register for only 1 (one) new account
- This is not compulsory. You may choose either keeping the old account or creating a new account
- By creating a new account, you agree that your old account will be disqualified from the contest
- The new account must be registered from now till 17th August 2010
- You must notify us with your old account username and new account username latest by 20th August 2010

Where should we notify you about changing account ?

What the detail problem?? I register before August 7th, So I should create change my account??
No you don’t have to. This is a choice for you. You can either create a new account or continue with the old one. In my opinion, the contest period is long enough for google to clear up misconception and returning the backlink to your page. Again, this is your choice, you can take up this option or not.
No wonder, I felt strange with new accounts so easily indexed. I originally thought due to Google Caffeine.
BUT, how can we know that the account we created before the date of August 7? If you’re not busy, maybe you could make a list of users who registered before August 7.

Ah.. Eventually, I found it. The activity features (evoire.com / members / YourUsername / activity / just-me /) has a publishing date. That date used as a measure of time, whether before or after August 7. The problem, some may have to delete some information in their profile. Perhaps it is better to be made a list (as I suggested above) only
